- Nelsonville Public Library Athens County, OH. Uses Koha open source ILS.
- Georgia Pines Georgia. A public library consortium site that uses the Evergreen open source ILS. Uses facets created from results to submit new searches, instead of refining the current search.
- MyResearch Portal Villanova University, Villanova, PA. Solr + Lucene open source indexer still in beta.

- Vanderbilt running PRIMO in beta Endeavor's PRIMO.
- OPAC using Drupal with Millennium integration module and Apache Solr Drupal is an open source CMS, vastly configurable with modules. The millennium module extracts records from a live Millennium Web Opac installation. Apache Solr is a java server that provides fast faceted search; it talks to Drupal using the apachesolr module. This site also uses Google CSE to metasearch subscription and free databases.
